Graduated to the European Tour via the Challenge Tour in 2018, aided by his first professional victory at the KPMG Trophy. Joined the paid ranks in 2013 after an exceptional amateur career, winning the national championship in his native Portugal twice, along with the the Portuguese Golf Federation Cup, and the Portuguese Amateur Open. Internationally, he also triumphed in the Irish Amateur Stroke Play Championship and the British Boys Championship. Was also selected to represent Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup, Palmer Cup and Jacques Leglise Trophy. Is known as 'Figgy' and is a keen football fan who is an ardent supporter of Benfica FC.
