A late starter who only pursued golf seriously aged 24 after graduating from university, he spent five years playing on the Nordic Golf League before earning a place on the Challenge Tour. Won the Norwegian Challenge in his first year on the Challenge Tour in 2013, and his second victory at that level came two years later at the D+D Real Czech Challenge. He followed that up with a tie for third place at the lucrative Kazakhstan Open to earn graduation to the European Tour.
