A promising amateur who won the won the Scottish Boys Championship in 2013 before triumphing a year later in the Amateur Championship, defeating Zander Lombard 2&1 in the final. That win qualified him for the Open Championship the next month, the following year's Masters Tournament and U.S. Open. Made his professional debut the week after the U.S. Open in 2015, at the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge hosted by Macdonald Hotels and Resorts. Earned a rookie season on the European Tour after finishing inside the top 15 in the 2017 Challenge Tour Rankings.
